How to use the ADHD Medication Calculator/Convertor

The ADHD Medication Calculator/Converter is an innovative medical website and App designed to help the busy health care professional simplify the initiation, titration and conversion of medications for ADD/ADHD (e.g. Adderall to Vyvanse). The website and App are simple and intuitive and designed with the clinician in mind. Whether you are starting Vyvanse, increasing Quillivant or changing a patient from Ritalin to Adderall, the website and App will be a crucial addition to your clinical tools.

Required fields are the current medication, current dose of that medication, and the new medication. The calculator will then configure the approximate dosing of the new medication.

In addition, by choosing the current medication, (and pushing “dosage info” on the App),  the clinician is also given other clinically important information on how to start dosing, how to increase dosing, maximum dosages, maximum off-label doses, time to peak activity,  and currently available dosing options

The Website and App are both sophisticated enough to tell you which medications can and cannot be crushed, and when you have exceeded the maximum dosage.

The User understands that there is an overall lack of data regarding most conversions, and there is a significant degree of interpatient variability. For this reason, reasonable clinical judgment, and dose titration are of paramount importance.

As a clinician, it is important to note that there are significant limitations to conversions and tables. While these tables are currently the “best” solution, their limitation should be noted.
